Graph node "doesn't exist" to frontend

Description

When I showed Instaviz to my mother, within a few minutes she managed to create a graph with a node that "didn't exist." It looked like it was being placed as a fixed (unconnected) node, which shouldn't be the case for a node that has edges going to/from it, and when we tried to do a shake to delete the node or edges attached to it, nothing happened.

I think this was the "shake not recognized" bug combined with some weird layouts on the part of Graphviz.
